1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using HomeworkHero, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Description of Service

HomeworkHero is an online platform that connects students seeking academic assistance with qualified tutors. We facilitate the matching process and provide tools for communication, payment processing, and assignment management.

3. User Responsibilities

• Students must provide accurate assignment details and requirements
• Tutors must deliver quality work within agreed timelines
• All users must maintain respectful communication
• Users are responsible for maintaining account security

4. Payment Terms

Payments are held in escrow until the student approves the completed work. Platform fees are deducted from tutor earnings as specified in the current fee structure.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your payment stays in escrow until you approve the work, and it is refundable if no tutor accepts the assignment, if a tutor misses the agreed deadline, or if the delivered work does not meet the requirements you set.

When you fund an assignment we ask you to confirm separately that you want work to start immediately. That is what allows a tutor to begin before any statutory cancellation period has run; it does not affect your rights under the Refund Policy.

If something goes wrong, please contact us before contacting your bank — the money is still in escrow and we can usually simply return it. You always keep the right to dispute a charge with your card issuer and nothing in these terms removes or limits that right; we are asking, not restricting. A dispute raised without contacting us costs us a non-refundable fee whichever way it is decided, and we may decline to accept payments from that account again.

5. Intellectual Property

Upon payment completion, students receive full rights to the delivered work. Tutors retain no ownership claims to completed assignments.

6. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes, users should first attempt to resolve issues directly. If unsuccessful, our support team will mediate. Final decisions by HomeworkHero administrators are binding.

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform in any way.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
